Much of Japan’s economic power is based on its industry. Automobiles are one of its best known products. In 1998, Japan produced around 10.05 million cars, buses, and trucks, ranking second in the world for vehicle production.

Many cars are produced with robots. Robots are complex machines created to perform a specific function. They take care of routine tasks, leaving staff free to do more interesting tasks.

Almost half of the cars produced in Japan are for export. However, due to the great use of these in other countries, many Japanese companies produce their cars in factories located abroad. On the other hand, highlights the variety of types of equipment for transportation that Japan exports in addition to the automobile.

Japan is also famous for the quality of its electrical equipment and for its electronics industry. Some of the most popular products are televisions, cameras, video games, and computers.
