Tokyo has a couple of main airports. Narita International Airport (NRT), in Chiba prefecture, mostly handles international air traffic and is the arrival point for the overwhelming majority of foreign visitors.  and Haneda Airport. (HND), located in a more central location, which deals mainly with domestic air traffic and a smaller number of international flights. Haneda Airport is located less than 30 minutes and 15 km southeast of central Tokyo. The airport is well connected to central Tokyo by road, rail and monorail, and is a major hub for Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways.

Originally, Haneda was Tokyo’s main international airport, but now most international flights arrive and depart from the newer Narita Airport, since its construction of the new airport in 1978. However, Haneda Airport remains the largest airport. Japan’s busiest and the fourth-busiest on the planet, with more than 65 million passengers a year. With the completion of a new runway and the international terminal building, Haneda resumed managing an increased number of international flights in October 2010.

There is only one international arrivals terminal in Haneda which is quite small, so it will be easy for you to find your way. One thing you may want to do while you are at the airport is to rent a pocket WIFI, which will keep you connected to the Internet throughout your trip. The international departures hall has a large restaurant and shopping area, so if you arrive early for your flight, you can easily entertain yourself for a few hours. Transport

The international arrivals terminal has two stations, one for the Toei line and another for the monorail to Hamamatsucho station. Both lines will take you to the center of Tokyo in about 15-20 minutes. Taking a taxi from Haneda to central Tokyo will cost around $ 60-100, depending on where you want to go.
