Teishoku: Menu of the day in Japan.

Teishoku is a set menu meal, usually consisting of a main course of meat or fish with a side, rice, miso soup, and pickle.
Typical examples of main dishes are sashimi, grilled fish, breaded pork, and fried chicken bites. Prices can vary but are usually around 800-1200 yen. Teishokus are served in popular restaurants, but also as lunch specials in traditional Japanese restaurants and even in relatively exclusive restaurants in office areas.
