Second largest aquarium in the world
Churaumi is the second largest aquarium in the world and the only one that has several whale sharks together in a 7,500 m² pool. The Kuroshio tank is famous for its huge 22 meter bay that allows you to observe the largest species.
The four floors of the aquarium have many interesting exhibits. Among them is a tank to observe marine species that inhabit the depths of the sea, which in general can only be observed in submarines. Churaumi is also one of the few aquariums capable of producing its own coral in a huge special tank that recreates a natural barrier reef. In another part of the aquarium we find a space that allows us to touch some species, such as dolphins …
The entrance of Churaui, the big whale awaits you.
